8月14日、現地時間午前10時より、
在エジンバラ日本領事館様のご協力のもと、
エジンバラ大学 Project Room 1.06にて、剣詩舞レクチャー＆デモンストレーションを開催しました。
デモンストレーションを含め、約60分のレクチャー。
今回の開催に向けて本格的に準備を始めたのはおよそ1か月前。
実際に内容を組み立てていく中で、理想とする形を模索し、
試行錯誤を重ねながら、
直前まで取り組み、この日を迎えました。
On August 14, starting at 10:00 a.m. local time,
I held a Kenshibu Lecture & Demonstration in Project Room 1.06 at the University of Edinburgh, with the kind support of the Consulate General of Japan in Edinburgh.
The session lasted approximately 60 minutes, including demonstrations.
I began preparing in earnest for this event about a month in advance.
As I developed the content, I explored how best to shape the lecture into what I envisioned, refining it through repeated trial and error right up until the day of the event.
講義はすべて英語で行いました。
I conducted the entire lecture in English.

Performing the Kenbu “Fushikian Kizan o Utsu no Zu ni Daisu.”
皆さん、とても真剣に、そして興味を持って耳を傾けてくださり、
また、思いのほか、エジンバラにお住まいの日本人の方々にも足を運んでいただけたことも嬉しい出来事でした。Everyone listened very attentively and showed a genuine interest throughout the lecture.
I was also delighted that, to my pleasant surprise, a number of Japanese people living in Edinburgh came to join us.

この後、実際に詩舞作品として舞いました。
Introducing “Kochi Fukaba,” a poem by Sugawara no Michizane.
After the explanation, I performed the piece as Shibu.

Everyone tried the basic posture together.

初めて触れる方には少し難しいところもありますが、
皆さん、とても楽しそうに挑戦してくださいました。
Trying out the Japanese folding fan (sensu).
It can be a little challenging for first-time users, but everyone seemed to really enjoy giving it a try.

当日は多くの皆様にご参加いただき、とても嬉しく思いました。
