3/21 (Sat), 3/22 (Sun)、
“Gaya Gaya – Japanese Culture Festival 2026”
I had the opportunity to participate in the “Gaya Gaya – Japanese Culture Festival 2026,”
held at Mercato Centrale Torino in Turin, Italy, on March 21 and 22.
The Porta Palazzo district, where the venue is located, is one of the most vibrant areas in Turin, home to one of the largest open-air markets in Europe.
After finishing the 60th Anniversary Performance of the Seiga-ryu kenbu school,
I returned to Tokyo the next day and departed from Haneda for Italy the following day, making for quite a demanding schedule.
I arrived in Italy the day before the rehearsal.
After landing at Milan Malpensa Airport, I had to travel with large luggage, including my sword and wooden swords for the workshop.
Because of this, I arranged a bus instead of taking the train and made my way to Turin.

Over the approximately four months since I received this opportunity,
I had to manage several performances and projects taking place at the same time, including the 60th Anniversary Performance of the Seiga-ryu Kenbu school.
Preparing for all of this, while also creating new works and maintaining a high level of focus every day, was a great challenge for me.

Meeting so many wonderful artists here was a great source of inspiration for me.
I truly feel that it has shown me the direction I should pursue moving forward.
